Empowering the Next Generation of Digital Innovators: Starting up the Cyberdata club at Vetland Grammar School.

In an era dominated by data and digital connectivity, the need for understanding and safeguarding information has never been more critical. Recognizing this demand, Cyberdata Foundation is thrilled to introduce an innovative initiative: The Data Science and Cybersecurity Club.

On the 8th of May, 2024, Cyberdata Foundation officially launched an exciting new venture at Vetland Grammar School Agege, with the desire to introduce these young minds to the ever-evolving digital ecosystem.

With the mission of securing a data-driven and secure Africa, the foundation aims to equip young students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in the digital landscape.

The foundation’s founder Dr. Biodun Awojobi, was present at the club launch to officially introduce the Junior Secondary school students to the concept of both data science and cybersecurity. He enlightened them about the ever-evolving nature of the digital world and how important it is to explore these emerging technologies, as well as the many opportunities these fields have to offer.

The foundation was eagerly welcomed by the principal, Mrs. Dr. Latunde Dada, and all the teachers of Vetland Secondary School, who were more than pleased with the collaboration and an opportunity for the children to learn more.

The Data Science and Cybersecurity Club was designed to ignite curiosity and passion among secondary school students for the fields of data science and cybersecurity. Through hands-on activities, and lessons from industry experts, students will have the opportunity to dive into the fascinating realm of data science and cybersecurity.

The enthusiasm of the kids inspired us to do much more, and we hope to empower the next generation of digital leaders and pave the way for a brighter, more secure future.
